Acceptable Use Policy

Plain-English summary

  • Don’t use ReviewAIde to write fake reviews, deceive customers, or break a review platform’s own rules.
  • Don’t attack, scrape, or abuse the Service or other users.
  • Don’t ask the AI to generate illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
  • If you break these rules, we may warn you, suspend you, or terminate your account.

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between this AUP and the Terms, the Terms control. This AUP applies to all use of ReviewAIde — Free, Pro, and Business tiers, web app and Chrome Extension.

1. Honest Reviews and Responses

You may not use ReviewAIde to:

  • Generate, post, or solicit fake reviews, paid-for reviews, or undisclosed incentivized reviews. ReviewAIde is for responding to reviews you have received — not for creating them.
  • Impersonate another business, person, brand, or reviewer.
  • Respond to a review on behalf of a business you do not own, operate, or have explicit written authorization to represent.
  • Create responses that materially misrepresent facts about your business, products, services, pricing, certifications, or competitors.
  • Attempt to manipulate review-platform rankings or algorithms through coordinated or automated posting.

2. Platform Compliance

Each review platform (Google Business Profile, Yelp, Tripadvisor, Facebook, and others) has its own terms and content policies. You are responsible for complying with the rules of any platform on which you post a ReviewAIde-generated response.

The Chrome Extension is designed for human-in-the-loop drafting. Using it to mass-generate or mass-post replies is a violation of this AUP. You must individually review and click the platform’s own “Post” button for every reply.

3. Service Abuse

You may not:

  • Scrape, mirror, or harvest the Service, its outputs, or any non-public material.
  • Access the Service through headless browsers, bots, or scripts unless we have authorized it in writing.
  • Bypass or attempt to bypass tier limits, quotas, rate limits, or any other access control — including by creating multiple accounts.
  • Share, resell, or sublicense your account credentials or access to third parties.
  • Probe or scan the Service for vulnerabilities outside of written authorization from us.
  • Disrupt or impair the Service or the experience of other users.
  • Reverse-engineer or decompile our models, prompts, or source code.

Reporting a vulnerability in good faith is welcomed — email hello@reviewaide.app (subject: Security) before testing.

4. Prohibited Content

You may not use the Service to draft, generate, or post content that:

  • Is illegal under applicable US federal or state law, or under the law of the jurisdiction where it will be published.
  • Is defamatory, libelous, or slanderous about an identifiable person or business.
  • Is harassing, threatening, or intimidating in nature, or that incites violence.
  • Is hateful toward a person or group based on any protected characteristic.
  • Is sexually explicit or sexualizes any real person without consent.
  • Promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism, or organized crime.
  • Infringes intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights of another person.
  • Discloses another person’s private information without lawful basis.
  • Violates consumer-protection or advertising law (FTC Act, FTC Endorsement Guides, state truth-in-advertising statutes).

The fact that an AI model produces a particular draft does not make posting it lawful. You remain the author of anything you post.

5. Your Responsibilities

  • Accuracy of every factual claim in your AI-generated replies.
  • Legal compliance with all applicable laws, including FTC rules and defamation law.
  • Platform compliance with each review platform’s terms and content policies.
  • Authority to respond on behalf of the business listed in your account.
  • Disclosure of AI assistance where required by law, regulation, or platform policy.

6. Industry-Specific Notes

Some industries have rules that apply to review responses. You are responsible for following them:

  • Healthcare / dental: Do not include patient PHI in replies. HIPAA may apply even in public responses.
  • Legal services: State bar advertising rules may restrict claims and testimonials.
  • Financial services: SEC, FINRA, and CFPB rules may apply to testimonials and claims.

7. Account and Identity

  • You must use accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You may not create multiple accounts to evade limits, bans, or detection.
  • You may not transfer your account to another person without our written consent.
  • You may not access the Service if you are on a US sanctions list or in a US-sanctioned jurisdiction.

8. Voice Profile (Business Tier)

When uploading material to train a Voice Profile, you represent that you have the right to use that material. You may not upload third-party reviewer text, customer personal information, or content you do not have permission to use. We store derived stylistic features only — not the raw uploaded text.

9. Reporting Violations

If you believe someone is using ReviewAIde in violation of this AUP, email hello@reviewaide.app (subject: Abuse) with the URL or screenshot, the platform involved, a description of the issue, and your contact information.

10. Enforcement

Depending on severity and pattern, we may: warn you and give you an opportunity to cure; restrict specific features; suspend your account temporarily; terminate your account; ban you from future signups; delete violating content; or refer the matter to law enforcement or the affected platform. For severe violations — including fake-review generation at scale, illegal content, or active attacks — we may skip the warning step. No refunds will be issued for accounts terminated for AUP violations.

11. Changes to This AUP

Material changes will be announced by email and in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated AUP.
